Our Initiatives

Our efforts to preserve and protect the rainforest proceed along several tracks:

Reforestation

To repair the damage done by illegal logging, we first clear damaged areas of debris. We burn this debris to create nutritious soil for new trees, which we strategically plant to restore the biodiversity of the region. We are working with Instituto de Investigaciones de la Amazonia Peruana to construct a nursery of beneficial trees that support our reforestation work. Some of the species that we rely on in our reforestation efforts are Lupuna, Caoba, Andiroba, Copaiba, Huacapu, Quillobordon, Tahuari, Huacapurana, among others.

Animal Rescue

Many of the animals that we come into contact with are threatened by hunters or imperiled due to the destruction done to their habitat. We make special efforts to protect and provide for these vulnerable creatures.
